Loftet

Loftet fra Krossbu is a popular and easily accessible summit hike in Jotunheimen. The hike starts at Krossbu Turisthytte, requires good fitness and offers fantastic views of Smørstabbtindane and Hurrungane.

This hike is often done as part of a 4-peak hike, where Veslfjelltinden, Hurrbreatinden and Veslbreatinden are included.

Starting point: Krossbu Tourist Cabin

Highest point: 2170 masl

Difficulty: Challenging

Season: Summer (July–September) / Spring ski trip (April–June)

Skiing: The downhill is known for being fun, with a long season, but requires stable conditions (avalanche risk must be considered).
