Winter Camping at Krossbu
Winter camping at Krossbu is a magical experience, surrounded by magnificent nature in the heart of Jotunheimen. In the evenings, you can enjoy a stunning star-filled sky. If you are lucky, the full moon may illuminate the entire area, or you might see the northern lights dancing across the sky.
Camping is possible from the start of the season. The campsite is snow-covered throughout the winter and spring, and tents must therefore be pitched directly on snow. Motorhomes and caravans are also welcome, but please note that weather and road conditions may at times make it impossible to drive down to the campsite. We keep the campsite open as long as conditions allow, subject to weather and wind.
Practical information
Upon arrival, please check in at the reception. There you will pay the camping fee and receive access to the sanitary facilities and drying room.
Meals can also be enjoyed inside the lodge during the winter and spring season. Please note that availability may be limited, and guests staying inside the lodge are given priority. It is not possible to pre-book meals; please ask at the reception upon arrival for availability.
