The King of Smørstabbtindane, which towers high in the landscape. A relatively demanding hike, where the last part to the top is quite steep. The top is spacious, and the view cannot be described, it must be experienced.

The trip often requires crossing the Leirbrean glacier, and the area offers demanding, alpine conditions where crampons and ice axes are recommended, as well as good downhill skiing opportunities.

Starting point: Krossbu Tourist Cabin

Highest point: 2222 masl

Difficulty: Demanding (glacier and airy peak)

Season: Summer (July–September) / Spring ski trip (April–June)

Hike that requires glacier equipment and knowledge – possibly a guide.

It is recommended to assess the avalanche danger and check the conditions carefully before the trip, as this is an alpine route.
